In 1882 Dr. O.B. Willis, Dr. John Hamilton, and Dr. Thomas McIlvanie had a dream to create a community hospital in Peoria, a hospital that was responsive to the needs of their patients and the needs of the community. Their visionary leadership and dedication helped create the Proctor Hospital that exists today.

Under the visionary leadership of Paul Macek, CEO of Proctor Health Care, a new course has been charted for Proctor Hospital - a course to help Proctor become the health care organization of choice for vascular services, general surgery, orthopedic services, and women’s health.
